New Year's feasts are a real test of our liver's strength! If you want to stay in great health throughout the holidays, here are some simple nutritional tips tailored for the New Year.

Balanced diet. As you know, the daily diet should consist of 20% protein, 30% fat and 50% carbohydrates. But on New Year's Eve, many decide " and begin to eat everything. The result of such reckless behavior is various disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, so even in the New Year, try to eat balanced, and the "plate rule" will help you with this: let fresh vegetables or light vegetable salads / grilled vegetables take half of your plate, about a quarter - " heavy "salads with mayonnaise (Olivier, herring under a fur coat), and the rest of the place - meat, fish or poultry!

As for desserts, they should make up about 10% of your diet. A small piece of cake every couple of days will not be considered a crime, but a small piece of cake at each meal for almost two weeks is an obvious overkill.

Overeating - fight! When calling guests, everyone tries to make the table as luxurious as possible, prepare as many delicious dishes as possible, and demonstrate their culinary talents. As a guest, you want to please the hostess by trying every dish (especially if everything is really delicious). But this does not mean that you need to take half of each dish! A couple of tablespoons are enough! Moreover, try to stretch the "stay" for the whole evening and get up from the table more often - to dance or even help the hostess.

More healthy meals! Suppose, in addition to the traditional salad drenched with mayonnaise, there is, for example, a vinaigrette on the table - after all, it is very tasty, beautiful and healthy! If you still can't imagine salads without mayonnaise, then cook it yourself: it's very simple, and the sauce turns out to be many times tastier and, again, healthier than the purchased one!

Try to bake meat and fish, not fry. It is not necessary to make sauces for them based on butter and flour - lingonberry or cranberry sauces are an excellent alternative!

Sausage can be replaced with pastroma - chicken breast baked in spices, as well as lightly salted red fish and black bread on the table. Don't forget to cut fresh vegetables!

As for the dessert, it is advisable to cook it yourself to be sure of the quality of the products. In addition, by getting creative, homemade cake can be slightly lightened in calories. For weight watchers, alternatives are fresh fruit, champagne fruit jelly in light syrup, or gentle mousse.

Remember the liquid! Want to know how much fluid you need to consume per day? Then multiply 40 ml by your weight in kg. From this follows the last rule - there must be enough liquid on the table.

  • Firstly, it is mineral water with or without gas.
  • Secondly, fruit drink and compote, preferably homemade. They will not only help to cope with thirst, but also saturate the body with vitamins. Remember that commercial juices and fruit drinks contain various not very useful additives and a large amount of sugar!
  • If you like soda, go for the light options.
  • Well, for dessert, tea or coffee is simply irreplaceable! Better, of course, to drink them without sugar, as a last resort, use a little honey. By the way, the use of honey helps to reduce the effects of alcohol on the body!
