Elderly people are pleased when young people remember at what cost the peaceful sky overhead was won. The number of war veterans is decreasing, they rarely communicate with each other due to poor health. And they so want to share with someone the joy and bitterness of victory.

Step 1
Take care of the flowers, because during the year the grandmother does not receive them so often. It is customary to give carnations on Victory Day. If you bring such a bouquet to a pensioner, you will not be mistaken with a gift.
Step 2
Go to your nearest music school and ask which concerts the young musicians are performing. On Victory Day, as a rule, the guys perform with thematic songs. Such events are free of charge, but they are hardly spoken about anywhere, so there are not many visitors. If your grandmother has a desire, take her to such a concert - she will gladly listen to poems and songs of the war years in a good performance. Do not use public transport - hire a car so as not to tire Granny.
Step 3
Check with any municipal library. On May 9 or earlier, there will most likely be an exhibition of books and some themed event that residents of nearby houses are unlikely to know about. Free public events usually don't advertise, so take the initiative. Granny may wish to attend one of these evenings.
Step 4
Find a photograph of the war years, where the grandmother is still young. Contact a photo studio for a great portrait. Take it to the framing workshop - they will make a beautiful frame there. On the day of the holiday, hang a gift in the apartment, as was customary in noble families. Surely grandmother will be pleased.
Step 5
Prepare a home concert: have each family member learn a poem about war and victory, repeat the songs. During your family dinner on May 9th, take the time to thank the older person for the hard years of hard work and rebuilding a war-torn country.
