For the newlyweds' car, you can make two swans yourself, their size can be any. To do this, you will have to prepare penoplex, some fabric and paint.
Despite the abundance of different goods in stores, today it is quite difficult to find accessories that could decorate the car of the newlyweds. You can, of course, order jewelry from a private master, but, as a rule, such a pleasure is very expensive. It will be much more profitable and more pleasant to make something yourself as a decoration. For example, you can perform swans, which are a symbol of love and fidelity.
Tools and materials for work
For the manufacture of swans, it will be necessary to prepare: penoplex of different thicknesses, one sheet should have a thickness of 5 cm, the other - 2.5 cm. You will need: scissors, a stationery knife, a pencil, a glue gun, sandpaper, polymer clay, corrugated paper, acrylic paint, beads and ribbons. Emery paper can be replaced with a nail file, but acrylic composition will be needed in three colors: red, white and black.
Swan making technology
To begin with, on paper, you should depict the head and neck of a swan of the size that you need. You can use the finished image by printing it on an A 4-size sheet. The resulting image should be cropped. Thus, you should get a pattern for a swan.
Next, you should use penoplex, the thickness of which is 5 cm. A template cut out of paper should be attached to its surface in order to trace the contours with a pencil. A stationery knife will allow you to cut out the head and neck of a swan from penoplex. Using a clerical knife, round off the edges of the workpiece.
Now you can proceed to carving the body for the swan. It should have the shape of an oval, its width should be 15 cm, and its length should be 30 cm. To make an oval, a thinner penoplex should be used. Having laid the oval on the surface of the table, glue should be applied to the top of the workpiece, they should also cover the swan's neck from the end. It is necessary to use hot glue to bond the body and neck to the head.
In order for the surface of the neck and head to be smooth, the workpiece should be sanded with sandpaper, its abrasiveness should be equal to 180. The recesses for the eyes will allow you to form the blunt side of the clerical knife. Penoplex for this will only need to be pushed a little.
In order to form a smoothing between the thin neck and the oval body, two side parts should be cut out, having previously measured the distance from the neck to the edge of the oval. These parts must be made of polystyrene foam. Next, they have to be glued on the sides of the neck.
The neck should be coated with polymer clay, and then allowed to dry. The clay should be applied in 3 coats. With each layer, the clay solution must be made more and more liquid, which will perfectly level the surface.
Now you can start drawing the beak and eyes using a pencil. Then you can move on to painting the swan neck white. Red paint will be used to color the beak, black for the eyes.
Beads need to be glued to the eyes, you can proceed to decorating the body of the swan. To do this, prepare fabric flaps by stitching them in the form of an accordion on one side using a typewriter. The more such stripes should be made, the more magnificent the body of the swan should be. Once the shuttlecocks are stitched, you can start attaching them to the body using a stapler or glue. For their manufacture, you can also use corrugated paper.
