It is necessary

  • - international passport;
  • - Schengen visa;
  • - a plane ticket to Prague;
  • - bus ticket to Cesky Krumlov.

Instructions

Step 1

This holiday is dedicated to the reign of the Rosenberg family, who were the last owners of an ancient castle located in one of the most beautiful towns in the world - Cesky Krumlov. And it is named after the rose, which is the emblem of the family coat of arms.

Step 2

For three days in a row, in June, medieval music will sound on the streets of the city, an old Bohemian fair, a night torchlight procession and a real feast will take place. Dancers, magicians, swordsmen and fakirs will delight everyone with their skills, and actors, dressed in ancient costumes of the Renaissance, will stage a performance that will immerse the audience in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. These days on the streets of the town you can meet real knights, monks and merchants, each of whom will go about their business.

Step 3

To get to such a performance, buy a ticket to the Czech Republic for the time when the Five-Petal Rose Festival is taking place. Every year it is celebrated in June, but the dates of the celebration may vary slightly, so it is better to check them on the Internet or in a travel agency. In 2012, for example, it will run from June 22-24.

Step 4

Be sure to discuss the conditions of your trip. You can stay in Krumlov itself, being in the center of the festive events every day, or go there on an excursion from Prague. The road from the capital of the Czech Republic to Krumlov will take about 2 hours.

Step 5

Go there on your own, having made a Schengen visa in advance for the required number. To do this, you will need to pre-book your plane tickets and hotel room. You can stop, again, both in Cesky Krumlov and in Prague. There are buses from the capital several times a day, departing from the Prague bus station. However, if you plan to go to Cesky Krumlov for one day, be sure to immediately buy a ticket for the return bus.
