In all Slavic countries, Christians honor the memory of two brothers - Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius, “Slovenian teachers”, creators of the Slavic alphabet and translators of Greek books. By order of the Byzantine Emperor Constantine, the brothers became missionaries in the Bulgarian and Moravian kingdoms. Thanks to them, the Slavs were able to read the word of God in their native language.
