In 2012, about 180 Moscow exhibition venues that were open until midnight took part in the Night at the Museum campaign. Many of them had long lines of visitors. Various concerts organized in Moscow parks also attracted people's attention.
Instructions
Step 1
There are two stages on the territory of Gorky Park - jazz and academic. The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, directed by Vladimir Spivakov, performed here as part of the Chereshnevy Les festival. There were so many people that the security service stopped letting visitors into the venue before the concert, but then this incident was settled, and everyone who wanted to enjoy the voices of magnificent opera singers had the opportunity to do it.
Step 2
In the Central House of Artists, across the street from Gorky Park, the Football Museum is located. The exposition included the works of photojournalist Alexander Abaza, as well as video recordings of matches of different years of the national teams of the USSR and Russia. A screening of the film "Match" was also organized. However, the public's attention was more attracted by the concert of Elena Burova, which took place next to the Central House of Artists in the Muzeon park.
Step 3
A queue has also gathered at the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val, in which the exhibition "The Triumph of Kaissa" has opened. On the second floor of the building, a simultaneous game of chess between international grandmaster Maria Manakova and artists took place, which attracted great attention of the audience.
Step 4
A popular place among Muscovites and guests of the capital was Artplay, the center of contemporary art, on the famous roof of which the premieres of short films were shown until three in the morning.
Step 5
Another very popular place in this project is the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Numerous visitors were met by the director of the museum Vasily Tsereteli with an employee of the exhibition department Alexei Novoselov. This year, preliminary registration was organized on a special website for those wishing to visit this museum within the framework of the project.
Step 6
One of the most remarkable events of the Museum Night was the procession of artists through the center of Moscow. This happened after the "Control Walk" and "Poetic Readings" initiated by the writers. But in this case, the organizers of the event referred to the absence of political overtones. Hundreds of people took part in the procession, which resembled a parade, and order was maintained by law enforcement officers. Everything went quietly and without incidents, Yuri Samodurov - the curator of the Nomadic Museum of Contemporary Art - rated its implementation as "five".
