If in the summer parents often have to travel to work, you can consider options closer to the city in any case, the constant presence of the child in the fresh air will be of great benefit to him. Living with a child in the summer in the country presupposes the availability of everything necessary for this. First of all, it is a nice summer house without drafts and with the possibility of heating in case of cold weather. A stove or electric heater can be used for heating. Children love to run barefoot, so it is advisable to somehow insulate the floor: either place a layer of thermal insulation under the floor covering, or put a carpet on the floor.
At the dacha, where you will live with your child, there must be all the conditions for convenient cooking. Allocate for this, if not a separate kitchen, then at least the corner where you lead the water supply source (central or autonomous well). The same stove, electric stove, gas stove on bottled gas are suitable as a hearth (there are few summer cottages with a central gas supply). Place the required set of cooking furniture in the kitchen compartment. For permanent residence in the country, be sure to bring at least a small refrigerator there.
Hygiene is very important to a child's health. In summer, hygiene should be taken very seriously. Take a special small room for a daily shower, an electric water heater is ideal for heating water, but if there is no electricity in the country, then you can organize water heating from the stove. It is good if there is a bathhouse in the country where you can arrange wellness procedures with phytopreparations. For a child, too high a temperature in the bath is not needed, a soft warm steam is enough. Take care of bringing the suburban bathroom to a safe sanitary (and not only) state, check how safe the road to it is, especially at night. At night, it is advisable to use a dry closet so as not to leave the house.
Give your child instructions on the distance to which he can move away from the house or plot, as well as the need for mandatory notification of this to you, recently, unfortunately, cases of missing children have become more frequent, including in summer cottages. Clear the area of dangerous objects: sharp pieces of metal, glass, pins, etc., remove ladders. Having taken care of safety in all its manifestations, think about what the child can do in the country. For him, this is perhaps the most important thing. Buy a car of good clean sand, playing with sand is interesting for children from an early age, and even teenagers sometimes do not mind remembering their childhood. Place a barrel of water nearby or run a water supply hose.
In hot weather, children will be able to build dams out of sand and flood them with water. Believe me, this will become one of their favorite activities and a good tempering procedure. Bring enough toys, board games and books with you to your dacha. If you think possible, bring your bike and / or scooter. Summer in the country is the time to go in for sports. Try to allocate at least a small area on the site for active games, it is best to fence it off with a net stretched over wooden poles so that flying balls do not spoil the beds and your nerves. Hang a basketball hoop on the pole and hold a shooting competition.
If space and funds permits, buy a frame or inflatable pool at the dacha. The optimal diameter for a child's play in the pool is 3-4 meters. Such a pool is not too burdensome to maintain, and in winter it can be stored in any room with a positive temperature. Just remember that the pool in the country where there is a child requires increased attention due to the danger of drowning.
Give your child your own beds, where he will grow something himself, this is very useful for fostering a sense of responsibility and research qualities in him. Children really like it when there are pets in the country. If time and effort allows you, you can have chickens, rabbits, quails, and the child can feed them.
From time to time, arrange excursions to the surrounding places, trips to the city to shops, cinemas, to friends. It will be great if your child finds friends in neighboring areas, but even if this does not happen, you can invite your friends with children or friends of the child to visit your dacha, of course, if their parents do not mind.
