Summer, fun, vacations and … mosquitoes. This scenario is repeated from year to year. How to deal effectively with them?
- Appropriate clothing. If you plan to relax outdoors, then you need to dress appropriately. A shirt and a jacket with long sleeves, loose-fitting trousers and socks will protect the body from bites.
- Gas attack. Mosquitoes are extremely sensitive to odors. They don't like the aromas of basil, thyme, mint, rosemary and calendula. Planted at home or in the country, these plants will hold back the influx of uninvited guests.
- Away from the water. Mosquitoes breed in the aquatic environment. Even small containers of water can lead to their rapid appearance. In order not to become the object of attack by insects, you should avoid reservoirs, lakes and other similar places, especially in the evening and at night.
- Apple cider vinegar - mosquitoes just hate it. It is enough to rub a couple of drops into the skin to forget annoying "neighbors" for several hours.
- Various products (repellents). You can buy spray, body oil, suppositories, and other insect repellents at the store and pharmacy.
- Mosquito nets are a great way to keep insects out. They are divided into two types: sliding and stationary.
- Aromatic essential oils. The smells of vanilla, lavender, eucalyptus, and even catnip will keep mosquitoes away. You can mix your favorite oil with water and spray it on your body or clothing. The essential smell will hide the human smell that attracts pests so strongly.
