For students who are going to visit the capital, it is very important to visit more and pay less. There are many institutions in Moscow that offer large discounts to university students.
Museum discounts
If you come to Moscow and want to visit different museums, then the student card will become a discount card in some of them. For example, a ticket to the Tretyakov Gallery for students costs only 250 rubles, not 400. A discounted ticket to the Museum of Fine Arts. Pushkin is half the price, its cost is only 150 rubles. Entertainment and shopping
Surprisingly, students can visit the Bolshoi Theater for only 20 rubles per ticket. Students are given “no seat” tickets, which allow them to take any free seat before the show, which can be found almost always. Otherwise, it is allowed to watch the performance while standing.
For university students, discounts are available at cinemas, cafes and entertainment centers. For example, from Monday to Wednesday students can get a discount at the Cinema Park and Karo cinemas, from Monday to Thursday at the Luxor Center, on weekdays at Kinomax-XL, Under the Dome and some others.
On Russian Railways, students are provided with discounts on tickets for the upper berths of the compartment on all long-distance trains.
Holders of student IDs can have a snack at a discount, for example, in the Aerocafe near the Krasnye Vorota metro station, in the Sea Sushi chain, in the FM-cafe on the Yugo-Zapadnaya or Kidzi at the Water Stadium.
Students are also provided with discounts by many educational organizations: for foreign language courses, computer or cosmetic.
For students of Moscow universities, even a metro ticket is cheaper: only 350 rubles a month. There are several supermarkets willing to give students a small discount.
