Weekends provide an opportunity to rest and recover before a new work week. You can just lie in front of the TV or read books, or you can make your choice in favor of outdoor activities. The more emotions you experience during your free days from work, the more intense they will seem, and you will feel a huge surge of energy.

Step 1
Don't take work home. This is the first and most important rule to follow in order not to spoil your weekend getaway. Even if you plan on putting in just a couple of hours of your legitimate rest, it will already have an impact. Not completing the task at the beginning of the weekend, you will think about it all the time and only spoil yourself and everyone around you. Observe the rule: "no work on weekends."
Step 2
Organize your trip. You don't have to be a millionaire to be able to go somewhere in a short weekend. A trip to the nearest city will also be considered a trip. Take a train ticket and go for new experiences. Walk in unfamiliar territory, dine at a local cafe, meet someone from the city. This mini-vacation will give you a lot of positive emotions and broaden your horizons.
Step 3
Go to the zoo or dolphinarium if there is one in your city. Dedicate one weekend to meeting new species of animals. Swim with dolphins if your financial resources permit. This way of spending time will help you get the thoughts of work out of your head and will allow you to completely relax and have a great rest.
Step 4
Learn a new sport. If you've just been to the gym or cycling before, try learning something else. For example, try yourself as a rock climber, sign up for a motorcycle lesson, play paintball. Add extreme to your life and jump with a parachute. This way of spending the weekend will open up new facets of your character and physical reserves for you, and perhaps thanks to such experiments you will find the main hobby of your life.
Step 5
Spend a couple of hours in silence. After an active weekend, the body will benefit from a few hours of silence and complete relaxation. Go for a massage or other treatment that allows your body to fully relax. You can just take a bath at home and read your favorite book. After such busy days of rest, work does not seem so boring and hard, since already at the very beginning of the week you will most likely start planning your next weekend.
