Step 1
List the participants in the masquerade. Choose an initiative group for organizing the celebration.
Step 2
Check with the participants on the theme of the masquerade ball. You can dedicate an event to a specific celebration such as a new year, a historic event or date, host a ball based on a fairy tale or legend, or opt for a classic Venetian celebration.
Step 3
Distribute costumes between the participants of the masquerade if the planned celebration implies strict compliance with the role. You can use the children's game "forfeits" to make the distribution random.
Step 4
List all the places in town where you can rent a suit. These can be specialized organizations involved in the preparation of holidays or city theaters. Send a newsletter to all invitees to make it easier for them to find the right outfit.
Step 5
Make colorful invitations for everyone. You can contact a print shop or arrange your own invitations. Indicate the exact date of the event, time and place.
Step 6
Rent a room for a masquerade ball. This can be done in a cafe or restaurant, or a city house of culture. If the budget of the event does not imply such expenses, arrange a celebration in the apartment of one of the participants or in a country house.
Step 7
Decorate the room according to the theme of the masquerade. Use for this balls, ribbons, flowers, decorative Venetian masks (better imitation).
Step 8
Create a treat for guests. It's good if the menu matches the chosen theme. Since the main purpose of the masquerade is not a classic feast, it is possible to organize a buffet with light snacks and drinks. Appliances and utensils should also be in harmony with the costumes and decoration of the room.
Step 9
Prepare several discs with suitable music for the occasion. Of course, you shouldn't record the top 100 ballads of minstrels played on bagpipes, viola or harp, but club music is unlikely to be a good addition to a real masquerade.
