An artificial tree is a great alternative to a natural one. A spruce made of artificial materials will serve your family for six or more years, all these years remaining fluffy and elegant. If all this time you were buying natural trees, then at the end of the service life of one artificial tree, a whole grove would have accumulated. Agree, a weighty argument in order to go to the store and buy a green beauty made of plastic. But you need to choose it wisely.

Step 1
Decide what size tree you need. Please note that after the holidays are over, you will have to store an artificial Christmas tree somewhere, and therefore choose in advance a place where it will wait for the next New Year.
Step 2
Go to the store. Today, a variety of artificial Christmas trees are on sale: green, white, silver, golden, powdered with artificial snow, already decorated with garlands and balls, with soft and hard needles. Choose what you like best, but remember that this tree will celebrate more than one New Year with you.

Check the quality of the needles. Stroke the soft needles "against the grain", and just pull the hard ones. The soft one should instantly straighten up, take its previous shape, and the hard needles must remain on the branch, and not in your hand.

Check with your dealer or look on the box with the product for an indication that the spruce is made of fireproof materials. As a rule, fire retardants are added to quality products.
Step 5
Pay attention to the material from which the herringbone is made. The paper tree looks impressive, but will last no more than 3 years. In addition, paper is highly flammable, and therefore electric garlands are contraindicated for a paper tree. Fluffy PVC beauties look quite natural, they are safe and durable. But the best quality (and expensive) are molded plastic Christmas trees.

Be sure to smell your future tree. The artificial tree should not emit any extraneous chemical (phenolic) aromas.
Step 7
Pay attention to the wire from which the branches are made. It must be strong enough to withstand even the most massive Christmas tree decorations. At the same time, the ends of it must be processed so that none of your households accidentally hurt themselves about them.
Step 8
Rate the stand. If there are animals in the house, small children, then it makes sense to choose a fir tree not with a plastic, but with a more stable metal stand.
