In Kyrgyzstan, the former Kyrgyz SSR, a sovereign state since December 1991, September 16 is annually celebrated as the Day of Workers of the State Security Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. This service was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 16, 1992.
On the Day of the employee of the State Security Service of Kyrgyzstan, the President of the republic will issue a corresponding decree. In it, the head of state will congratulate the entire personnel of the Service on their professional holiday, highlighting their merits in the fight against extremist and terrorist groups operating in the country. In addition to its main task (protection of the President of Kyrgyzstan and his family members), the State Guard Service closely interacts with other law enforcement agencies of the republic in the fight against crime. Unfortunately, the situation in Kyrgyzstan is very difficult and tense.
By tradition, on this very day, the most distinguished employees of the Service, who have shown personal courage and heroism in the performance of their duty, will be awarded orders and medals of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The same employees who had gratitude and encouragement from the management for the impeccable performance of their official duties will receive certificates of honor, cash prizes, vouchers to rest homes. They can also be submitted to the next titles.
In honor of this day, festive events, festive concerts, sports competitions will be held in the cities of the country. Employees of the State Security Service will hold demonstration performances, demonstrating the level of their physical fitness and possession of weapons. Given the difficult socio-political situation in the Republic, the high level of crime and the presence of numerous terrorist and extremist groups, including those financed from abroad, the selection and training of the Service's employees is very strict.
The service has qualified, highly professional personnel, provided with the most modern weapons and technical means. At demonstration performances, employees will demonstrate their ability to conduct hand-to-hand combat, shoot on the go and run, and disarm the enemy. In addition, demonstration performances will be held in a closed version, that is, not intended for the general public.
