You have purchased a jewelry ring. After some time, your jewelry broke. If the warranty period of the jewelry has not yet expired, then you have the right to demand a refund or exchange the ring for a similar one. However, you need to know how to proceed and what rights you have.
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to return the money spent or exchange your broken ring, then there is no need to write a claim. You just need to submit a written request to the store to return money for goods of inadequate quality. It is necessary to submit such an application in two copies; your mark must be left by the seller on the acceptance of the requirement.
Step 2
In the submitted request, you need to correctly describe the situation about what you want to receive: money for a low-quality product or a new ring. Also indicate the adverse consequences that the store could have if it refuses to comply with your written requests on a voluntary basis. You can mention the possibility of penalties, legal costs, fines.
Step 3
Wait ten days for a response to your request. It is this period, in accordance with Article 22 of the Law "On the Protection of Consumer Rights", is set aside for the consideration of your application. After this period, the seller will be charged a penalty. For each day, delayed interest will be 1% of the value of your ring. Almost always, these actions are enough to replace the ring or return your funds for goods of inadequate quality.
Step 4
However, it must be remembered that all of the above actions apply only to the situation if the ring has been damaged. Also, the damage should not be your fault, but due to poor quality jewelry workmanship. If the ring you just didn’t like or didn’t fit, then it’s almost impossible to exchange it.
