New Year's holidays cannot be imagined without a Christmas tree, colorful garlands and, of course, colorful tinsel. But you can make beautiful tinsel with your own hands: a little imagination - and the original Christmas decoration is ready!

Step 1
You can make tinsel from ordinary multi-colored paper. Cut the strips to the desired length, then cut the fringes on both sides of the tape. If you want the tinsel to be large, make cuts at a greater distance. For the frame, you need to take a thin, bendable wire. Take your tape and start winding it around the wire with the screw. You should know that the tighter you wind the paper, the stronger the tinsel will end up.
Step 2
You can also make tinsel from plastic glitter tape. The manufacturing technology will be the same as for paper tinsel.
Step 3
You can weave a multi-colored rain into the finished tinsel or decorate it with small Christmas balls.
Step 4
You can also try making a tinsel tree. Take a twig with thin twigs. Make a fringed ribbon as described above, and then wind it around the twig starting at the base. Such a tinsel tree can be put in a vase, after having decorated it with small Christmas balls.
Step 5
When using homemade tinsel, observe safety precautions: do not wrap garlands around the lights with decorations - this can lead to fire. Place tinsel (especially plastic) out of reach of pets so that pets cannot taste your jewelry.
