Instructions

Step 1

Agree with friends at least a day before Easter about where you will meet, what time and what you will do. On Christ's Resurrection, Great Lent ends, so it is advisable to celebrate in someone's house and set a table rich in meat and fish dishes, pastries and, of course, eggs.

Step 2

Decide in advance - will you all cook together the day before, or each of the guests will bring some kind of treat from home. Drinking is not prohibited on Easter, but since it is a religious holiday, try not to buy a lot of alcoholic beverages.

Step 3

Greet your friends not as usual, but with a special Easter greetings "Christ is Risen". And the answer to such a phrase should be: "Indeed he is risen." In addition, it is recommended to christen, that is, to kiss each other three times. By doing this you express your joy at the coming of Easter.

Step 4

Go to church together and listen to the Easter service, which is different from the usual prayer services. Better yet, get together at night from Saturday to Sunday and get on the procession, which takes place after midnight. In the church, you can consecrate Easter eggs and Easter cakes.

Step 5

Roll the colored eggs along the road. This is an ancient game invented by ancestors in order to annoy the powerless on the holy day of evil spirits. Select a section of road with a slope and release eggs from it in turn. If children are playing with you, then along the edges of the path of the eggs you need to lay out sweets and souvenirs. The child will have to take for himself the surprise that the egg touched. Do not forget about safety and do not play on the road.

Step 6

In Soviet times, there was a tradition to go to the cemetery on Easter. However, according to many clergy, there is no need to disturb the souls of the departed on this day. Postpone a visit to the cemetery until such holidays as Radonitsa and Krasnaya Gorka. By the way, leaving eggs and other treats in the cemetery is also not recommended by the church.
