Starting on Maundy Thursday, they begin to prepare for the festive table, paint eggs, cook Easter, bake cakes, pancakes, small products from the best wheat flour with the image of crosses, lambs, cockerels, chickens, bunnies, doves, larks and honey gingerbread.

Long before the appearance of Christ, the ancient peoples considered the egg to be the prototype of the Universe - from it the world around man was born. Among the Slavic peoples who have adopted Christianity, the egg is associated with the fertility of the earth, with the spring rebirth of nature. It is a symbol of the sun and life. And to show respect for him, they paint eggs. According to an ancient tradition, dyed eggs are laid on fresh sprouted greens of oats, wheat, which are specially germinated in advance for the holiday. It is customary to christen on Easter. Everyone exchanges colored eggs and kisses each other three times.

Since ancient times, the Church has developed a tradition of celebrating the Easter service at night. Celebrating Easter is, of course, not only attending a divine service. On Bright Week, all relatives, friends, acquaintances are sure to visit. Elderly people are given special respect. This holiday is always loved by the people and many customs are associated with it - they give each other special gifts, decorate the table in a special way, prepare special treats. Christ is risen! - and for the whole universe, a true spring began, a bright, joyful morning of a new life. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the first real victory of life over death.
