Once again, from July 20 to August 20, the annual, already traditional Festival of Tourism and Trade is being held in Egypt. It is held in the famous tourist cities of the country - Giza, Alexandria, Hurghada, Cairo, as well as the adjacent territory.
This holiday was first held in 1997. It attracts many tourists to Egypt from different countries, for whom a varied, exciting program, sports and cultural events are prepared annually. In addition, the organizers offer festival visitors to participate in all kinds of lotteries and contests. Their winners receive various prizes, ranging from simple souvenirs to rather expensive gifts, such as household appliances, jewelry, apartments, cars. The international airport in Cairo and the main streets are surprising with their beauty these days, they are decorated with thousands of colorful garlands.
All retail outlets and fairs prepare in advance to welcome guests from all over the world. On the days of the festival, locally produced goods amaze customers with their huge assortment and low prices, they are reduced by 20-50 percent. In addition, these purchases are not subject to sales tax. The difference in price is payable at the airport when departing from Egypt, however, receipts must be presented. It is worth noting that in order to attract a larger number of festival participants, guests are provided with impressive discounts on air tickets, visiting restaurants and cafes, and staying in hotel rooms.
The departments of the tourist police, the ministries of health and tourism, customs and tax services are responsible for the comfort and safety of local residents and guests of the country. Also, anyone can, for any reason, contact the information and consultation centers that receive visitors during this month, around the clock. Egyptian young people and girls who are fluent in foreign languages work there. All this is done for a more comfortable stay at the festival.
