history of the holiday

The history of the holiday began over fifty years ago. For the first time, Youth Day was held back in 1958. Moreover, a few months before that, its creation was officially confirmed in the corresponding Decree of the Government of the USSR. At that time, Youth Day was celebrated annually every last Sunday in June.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the situation changed slightly. The President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin issued an official order, according to which the entire population should now celebrate the Day of Youth on June 27.

The younger generation is the future of any country. That is why the Government is trying in every way to show support for persons who have reached the age of majority. In many educational institutions, special interviews began to be arranged, at which employers, even during their studies, select the most talented students for further employment. This event is carried out with the aim of combating unemployment.

Young families are not ignored by the Government. The state provides substantial assistance in purchasing housing, improving housing conditions and supporting motherhood.
