Santa Claus is undoubtedly the main character of the main holiday of the year. Not a single tree should do without Santa Claus, but it is not easy to enter this role in order to please loved ones. To do this, you will need not only to sew a suit and memorize a solemn speech, but also to create a psychological mood that matches the festive atmosphere of the New Year.

Step 1
To be a real Santa Claus, take care of the appropriate appearance. To do this, find a long red robe or sew it from any sufficiently dense (so as not to show through) red matter. Sew a wide strip of cotton wool or, if available, fur around the hem, sleeves, and collar. Use a wide strip of fabric decorated with a Christmas tree rain as a belt. Wash or glue snowflakes on Santa Claus's robe from the same rain for the Christmas tree.
Step 2
Make Santa Claus's staff by taking a long stick (for example, from a mop) and pasting it with colored paper. Wrap the Christmas tree rain on top of the paper and secure it with tape on the staff. If desired, sew mittens to the suit in the same color as the fur coat. Embroider snowflakes on the back of the mittens. In addition, from the same fabric and in the same way, sew the bag where the gifts will be.
Step 3
Make a hat from the remnants of fabric and cotton wool. Cut out 4 wide triangles and sew them together to form a dome. Wash cotton or fur around the edges of the hat. Wash small snowflakes on empty spaces. Make Santa Claus's beard out of wool or cotton. Start by making a beard pattern out of a thin fabric by cutting a hole in it for the mouth. Using PVA glue, glue small pieces of wool or cotton wool onto the fabric. Sew an elastic to the resulting beard.
Step 4
Once you've assembled your costume, start preparing your performance program. If you own a musical instrument, prepare the song "A Christmas tree was born in the forest" for performance. Also, prepare a speech for the audience, depending on whether it will be children or adults. Speech should be clear, loud and fluent. Prepare several contests in advance, according to the results of which you will present gifts.
Step 5
Upon entering the premises, greet everyone present and solemnly announce your arrival. Refer to the long road and ask to sit down to rest. First of all, turn to children, trying to endear them to you. Visit your old age and ask the kids to entertain you - read poetry or have a round dance. During these steps, play a melody on a musical instrument or hum it. After the performance is over, praise the children, call them by name and give them gifts. Wish them all the best and leave, referring to other things.
