The carnival was attended by about three thousand people. The monarchs liked the cavalcade of Sardis, so it was staged a second time, but in honor of another king - Victor Emmanuel III.

Then it was decided to meet absolutely all the distinguished guests of Sardinia in the same way. But this holiday became a tradition only in 1951, since that time the carnival has become an annual folk festival.
