There is hardly a person who would never have had a chance to participate in competitions. The competition differs from the competition in that it is not physical values that are assessed in it, but skills. But many still ask themselves the question - are contests necessary at all, and if so, why?

A person who begins to engage in any kind of creativity cannot but be interested in the question of whether he succeeds well in it, for example, draws, sings or cuts out of plywood. A competition can help him, one of the tasks of which is precisely to get the landmarks that are so necessary for each participant. The participant is no longer appreciated by close friends and relatives who value everything he does. The quality of his work is determined by a jury consisting of masters of their craft and qualified amateurs.

The competition allows a person to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Competitions are especially useful in this sense, where the jury does not just give marks, but conducts a “debriefing”. In this case, each participant receives qualified advice on which direction to move on and how to use their data with maximum efficiency.

A person deciding to participate in the competition gets the opportunity to establish contacts with those who are engaged in the same type of creativity. At the same time, it is not so important whether the competition takes place in real life or on the Internet. Participants often find like-minded people in distant cities or even in other countries. This is especially important for those involved in a less common art form.

Participation in the competition involves preparation. Having decided on such a step, a person tries to select his best works or prepare the most interesting number. This forces him to strain his strength, look for more interesting options, arrange his work in accordance with the given conditions.

Song, dance, theatrical competitions, as well as beauty contests, teach participants not to be afraid of the audience and to be confident on stage. Even if a person does not become a winner and does not receive any prize at all, he will learn to speak in public, and this can be very useful in life.

Contests often bring together people from different cities. In this case, there can be correspondence and intramural tours. Having won at the first stage, a person gets the opportunity to go on a face-to-face tour, while the organizers often pay for the trip. So the contestant can see new cities and their sights even if he is not very wealthy and would never have been able to afford such a trip.

For organizers, the opportunity to see what kind of people are engaged in this or that type of creativity and what they are capable of can be no less important than for the contestants themselves. They can choose from all the participants the most talented and promising ones.
