Cheeks are offered to the affectionate sun … So it is. The pink color of the blush will give a wave among the grass and leaves. Moreover, it can range from white and pinkish to bright orange shades. A pink wave has both a cap and a leg of the same pink color, which varies depending on the age of the mushroom. So, the younger ones have a light pink color, but the old mushrooms can be with a yellowish tint. The white wave can range in color from milky to off-white. Both species have a low stem, hollow inside. Milk juice is formed on the cut. The cap is funnel-shaped, its edges are twisted inward and covered with soft terry fringes.

The wave grows more often in mixed forests. Going for mushrooms, remember that waves always grow where there are spruces and birches. At the same time, the age of the trees does not really matter, even in a young birch growth, you can always find a large number of these wonderful mushrooms. This mushroom loves wet areas and swampy edges. Wavelets grow, as a rule, in families, that is, in one place you can find several dozen mushrooms at once. Also, especially a lot of waves grow along the edges of birch forests.

Do not try to look for waves in the first half of summer. They appear by the end of July, and by mid-August the first wave of mushrooms for mass collection begins. These delicious mushrooms grow almost until the end of October, before severe frosts appear, so you can always find time to go to the forest and pick up a basket of ruddy waves. The most important thing is not to confuse the wave with poisonous species of mushrooms. If you are in doubt whether the mushroom was cut, consult an experienced mushroom picker or do not take it in the basket at all.
