On the night of October 31 to November 1, according to medieval belief, all the evil spirits come to the ground. Ghosts, vampires, devils - everything that folk fantasy can think of. Since the heroes of the holiday are extremely diverse, it will not be difficult to come up with a costume for yourself.
Vampire at the ball chief
Perhaps the most popular Halloween character is the vampire. Find the right black suit - for example, leggings and a black sweater. In the absence of leggings, any trousers will do. You also need to consider the appropriate makeup. To do this, apply a white foundation on your face, and draw dark circles around the eyes. You can use any shadows, as well as face painting or even ordinary theatrical makeup. Make your eyebrows a corner, paint your mouth bright scarlet. It is very good if there is a canine. It can be made, for example, from a false nail.
Umbrella bat
A bat costume will also work. He will need a broken large black umbrella. However, a raincoat can also be made from a dark blue, dark brown or dark gray umbrella. Remove the umbrella from the handle, remove the knitting needles. Cut it from edge to center. Make a cutout. The neck can be hemmed or trimmed, especially if you are going to use the suit more than once, but several times. To prevent the raincoat from sliding out, make loops for the middle fingers. Sew on the clasp or pin up the neck with a matching brooch. Black pants, black sweater, half mask and raincoat - your outfit is ready.
Ghosts, knights, princesses
Ghosts roam the earth on Halloween night. Putting on their costume will not be difficult. It is made from an ordinary white sheet, or even better - from a duvet cover. In the first case, cut a hole for the head in the middle of the sheet. The bottom can be trimmed in a circle or with arbitrary uneven rags. Make two small slots for the arms. The best ghost in the world, albeit without a motor, is in front of you!
In general, knights and enchanted princesses, troubadours and witches roam the world on Halloween. So any of these characters will be a welcome guest at the festive carnival. Any old clothes, even if they are badly shabby, are suitable for a witch costume. A characteristic detail of this costume is the pointed hat. It can be made of cardboard, dyed or covered with fabric. For the brim, cut out a ring, for the crown - a cone, which is inserted into this ring. Sew or glue the crown, bend the bottom edge and glue the top into the ring. If it's still a few days before the carnival, wrap your hat in dark satin or even velvet.
If you don't have enough time, you can paint your creation with ink or gouache. In the latter case, it is better to apply a layer of varnish on top (hairspray is suitable).
An interesting costume can be created from a minimum of details. For example, appear at the carnival as an enchanted princess, dressed in an ordinary elegant long dress. Now these are in great fashion. You can put a tiara or crown on your head, and complement the outfit with a train of transparent fabric, decorated with stars, flowers, etc. Decorative items can even be made of foil.
