In order for Defender of the Fatherland Day not to turn into another day off in front of the TV, you need to think in advance how to celebrate this event. If you decide to celebrate with friends, then you will have fun at home, but this is an option you can always resort to, so it is worth considering other possibilities first.

Step 1
Attend sporting events in your city that day, such as ice hockey or volleyball. The schedule of matches and competitions can be found on the website of the city team. Keep in mind that not all events are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages, so the fierce celebration will have to continue after attending the competition.
Step 2
Contact the Council of Veterans of your city and offer your services in organizing and holding celebrations for participants in the Great Patriotic War. Even if you and your friends do not play musical instruments or sing war songs, you can help in preparing the hall or banquet, accompanying veterans to the place of celebration.
Step 3
Visit a nightclub. On the occasion of the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, many establishments organize a festive program, which includes contests, dances and sports, so you will not be bored. Find out in advance if you need to book a table, as there can be many people wishing to visit the club on weekends.
Step 4
Organize a skiing trip in a park or forest belt. If your friends' sports training allows you, you can go downhill skiing, if equipped skiing facilities are available in the region of your residence. In addition to outdoor activities, you can include in the festive program winter barbecue, dancing in the snow and the presentation of medals and orders to all participants of the weekend. Come up with comic nominations for each of the invited men. End the evening with a festive fireworks display, but keep in mind that fireworks can be displayed in strictly designated areas.
