Modern tennis originated in the 19th century, when a game called Luan Tennis appeared. The Wimbledrne tournament, which is still held today, was first organized in 1877. Now tennis is a fairly popular game. But it requires a specially equipped space.
The basics of courts
The place for playing tennis is called a court. This is a specially equipped flat rectangular area with a net stretched in the middle and markings on the court surface. The parameters of the court are as follows: length - 23, 77 m or 26 yards, width - 8, 23 m (9 yards) for singles and 10, 97 m (12 yards) for doubles.
There are markings on the court. Lines that run along the short side are called backlines, and along the long side are called sidelines. There is also extra space behind these markings for players to move around. The net is stretched straight down the middle across the entire width of the court and parallel to the back lines. The top edge of the mesh is often highlighted with a white stripe.
The feed zones are indicated by lines that run parallel to the back lines and the grid. The center service line is drawn in the middle of the court between the service lines. The back lines have a short mark that marks the middle. All lines on the court are part of the court.

Tennis courts in Moscow
In Moscow, there is the Tennis Federation, which was founded on May 22, 1913 by the figure of Russian and Moscow tennis, Robert Fulda.
