It is necessary
- Products:
- • 400 - 500 g puff pastry
- • 4-5 tbsp. chocolate spread like Nutella (boiled condensed milk, jam)
- • 30 g chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, peanuts)
- • 1 chicken egg for lubrication
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the dough. If you had it in the form of a roll, then divide it into 2 identical rectangles. If the dough was in the form of 4 square sheets, then connect the squares in pairs and roll them out so that you get 2 rectangles of the same size.
Step 2
Place baking paper or parchment on a baking sheet, then the first layer of dough. Prepare a second layer of dough that is exactly the same size as the first sheet. Using the blunt side of the knife, lightly mark the top of the Christmas tree at the very top of the dough sheet. It should be exactly in the middle of the top side of the rectangle. Draw a line with a knife from the top point to the bottom corners of the dough so that a triangle forms the size of the entire dough sheet.
Step 3
Spoon the filling into the resulting triangle, carefully spreading in one layer over the surface of the dough. Gently lay the second layer of dough on top. Make sure that the dimensions and sides of the dough rectangles match. Slicing the sides through 2 layers of dough, cut out the herringbone. Save the rest of the dough, as you will need them later to cut the star and trunk.
Step 4
Use a sharp knife to cut the stump of the trunk from below. Remove excess parts around the hemp. Then begin to cut the branches, making horizontal cuts that do not reach the middle, that is, where the trunk is outlined. Make cuts almost all the way to the top of the tree, but do not touch the top of the tree. Twist each branch 1-2 times to form a wave.
Step 5
Cut out decorations from the remnants of the dough: a star, a ribbon or a strip that can be laid along the trunk to make it three-dimensional. Grease the finished Christmas tree with a beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes until browning. Sprinkle the Christmas tree on top, if desired, with nuts, powdered sugar, dried berries or confectionery sprinkles to make a truly elegant Christmas tree.
