To calculate it, you need your date of birth and adherence to certain rules.

Step 1
One of the features of calculating the number of gua is that the year of birth must be specified according to the Chinese calendar. This must be done if you were born in January or early February. For example, in 1982, the Chinese New Year began on January 25, therefore, for those born on January 24, 1982, 1981 should be taken to calculate the number of gua.
After specifying the year of birth, add the last two digits. If you get a two-digit number, add the numbers again. For example, if you were born in 1986, the calculation would be: 8 + 6 = 14, 1 + 5 = 5.
Step 2
The next step in the calculation depends on your gender. For males, this number should be subtracted from 10. For boys born after 2000, this number should be subtracted from 9.
For a woman, 5 must be added to the number obtained by adding the last digits of the year of birth, and for a girl born after 2000 - 6.
Step 3
If, as a result of all the calculations, you get a two-digit number, its components must also be added. The result will be your personal gua number.
Consequently, for a man born in 1986, the number of gua will be five, and for a woman of the same year of birth, it will be one.
