- - food colorings.
Instructions
Step 1
Today, saturated, but not poisonous colors are very relevant. To obtain them, use natural natural dyes contained in food. For a grassy green color, boil 50 g of mate tea in a liter of water. Dip the hard-boiled eggs into the hot infusion and leave for two hours. You can get brown paint in the same way - for this, boil a couple of tablespoons of ground coffee in a liter of water.
Step 2
For a bright yellow color, curry powder is suitable. Dissolve 50 g of powder in a liter of boiling water and immerse the eggs in the solution for two to three hours. Beetroot infusion will give the eggs a deep pink color, and dried blueberry infusion will make them blue. To prepare the coloring solution, grate medium-sized beets and boil them in a liter of water, and boil a handful of dry blueberries until a rich color is obtained. Dip the eggs into the paint.
Step 3
The classic onion peel decoction recipe will color the shell in a pleasant reddish brown tone. Boil the husk in water until a dark infusion is obtained. The eggs can be left in the solution for several hours or overnight for a more intense color.
Step 4
If you want to expand your color palette, buy a ready-made set of food paints. To prepare one portion of the solution, add 2 teaspoons of white alcohol vinegar and 10-15 drops of the chosen dye to a glass of warm water. To get an orange hue, mix yellow with red, purple gives a mix of red and blue, and dark green gives a mix of blue and yellow. Dip the boiled eggs into the solution and let sit for one to two hours until the desired shade is obtained.
Step 5
Give your dyed eggs a nice glossy sheen. Drop vegetable oil on a cloth or cotton pad and rub the shell gently, being careful not to damage it. Place the finished eggs in a basket or on a plate covered with a paper napkin.
