Despite the huge variety of ice fishing tent models sold in camping equipment stores, fishermen are trying to design their own designs. And it is caused by the desire to have a lightweight, quick-release tent, for the manufacture of which plastic wrap is the best fit.
It is necessary
- - Polyethylene film;
- - strips of tarpaulin;
- - duct tape;
- - zipper;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
The constructive solution for a homemade tent is quite simple. It consists of four uprights covered with an awning made of polyethylene film. The entrance to such a tent is made with a zipper. The parts are connected by bushings, one end of which is pressed in, and the other goes inside the tube. Old duralumin ski poles are ideal for vertical poles. They are attached to the upper hinge by means of a spring lock.
Step 2
Make a frame of the size you need, then place its racks at the required distance, and connect their ends with a regular cord.
Step 3
Sew an awning from strips of tarpaulin and plastic wrap, the thickness of which should be at least 0.2-0.3 mm. To do this, pre-sew the strips of tarpaulin on a sewing machine, and then build from them an upper cap that will cover the hinge. It is best to sweep ready-made canvas strips on the frame itself, after which you can sew them on a typewriter. For this, it is best to use nylon threads.
Step 4
Pull the finished tarpaulin base over the frame, and sweep polyethylene and zippers to it, and then finally sew them on a sewing machine. For additional fastening of the awning to the frame, strings must be sewn against each break of the racks and their bottom. When sewing the film, do not forget to put the tape on the inside, and put the machine itself on the largest step. At the top of the awning, polyethylene is collected and closed with a cap made of the same film or a piece of tarpaulin, after which it is clamped by means of a wing bolt.
Step 5
Sew on the loops at the base of the awning. In the future, they will be needed to secure the tent. Pins are inserted into them, which, in turn, are driven into the ice. Sew the finished awning to the hinge.
