For some reason, it is believed that the more money is invested in the upcoming holiday, the more fun everything will go. Life over and over again refutes this myth, but many people still continue to be sure that the more spent on preparing for the New Year, the more memorable a wonderful night will become. If you are going to celebrate a holiday outside the city (at a recreation center, in a sanatorium, a camp site in the mountains, in a hotel, etc.), then take care of searching and booking seats of the month 2-3 before December 31. First, you will save a lot of money, because the closer the holiday, the higher the prices for tours. Secondly, you are guaranteed to get to where you want, and not to the first place you come across, where there will be places closer to the New Year's holiday.
Step 2
If you do not want to spend money on a table bursting with food, then go to celebrate the New Year on the street. What could be more wonderful than counting the chimes in chorus under the city tree with a crowd of cheerful people? Just do not forget to take with you a bottle of champagne, plastic cups and a thermos with coffee or hot tea. Practice shows that tea in the cold warms much better than strong alcohol.
Step 3
If you still decide to celebrate the holiday traditionally, celebrate it in a retro style. Place traditional salads on the table - Olivier, Crab, Herring under a fur coat, Mimosa. Decorate the Christmas tree with Christmas decorations taken from the mezzanine - glass figurines of squirrels, astronauts, fruits, nuts, which were used to decorate the tree in the last century. Stock up on retro music - foreign and Soviet. Be sure to put on the table a bottle of "Soviet Champagne" and a plate with Finnish cervelat, and instead of sweet imported soda and juices - homemade compote from dried fruits. You can start celebrating.

Go to the dacha - yours or your friends. Get together and go. You will lose a little by losing once the spectacle of the New Year's city fireworks. But eat a barbecue, potatoes baked on a fire, get drunk with songs with a guitar or karaoke, try and treat your friends to homemade delicacies extracted from the cellar.
