Choosing a New Year's gift is a very difficult task, especially when you consider that now almost everything is available to everyone. However, not only the gift is important, but also the packaging, because it is she who gives the secret and charm to the gift.
What can be used as packaging
Gift wrapping doesn't have to be expensive. It can be made with many scrap materials:
- black and white newspapers;
- sheets with notes;
- old things, such as sweaters, shirts;
- craft paper or parchment;
- the remains of wallpaper;
- boxes.
This is a fairly limited list - in fact, you can use just about anything you find at home. The main thing is that the gift is securely wrapped. Try to select the wrapper so that there are no large “tails”, but you do not have to “stretch” the paper either. An old sweater can make a great bottle wrap or a sleeve for a small box.
How can you decorate the packaging
So, what we found to pack the gift, now we need to decorate. To do this, you can use various materials: from cones and spruce branches, to the remains of threads. When decorating the packaging, use your imagination as much as possible. Use a variety of materials and try to think outside the box. For example, wrap a gift with craft paper, sign with a crayon or pencil, wrap with string and a bow to secure a lollipop or cookie. Both a child and an adult will be happy with such a gift.
Stunning stamps can now be found in stores - they can also be used to decorate packaging. Even using a regular pencil with an eraser at the end, you can create a unique pattern - just dip the tip of the eraser in paint and create your own unique patterns.
Pay attention to such a "little thing" as a postcard or a label with the recipient's name on the gift. You can arrange it in the same style, or you can choose a good photo and stick it - so that none of the family members and guests will confuse their gifts.
On the gift box, you can create a whole composition of cones and twigs, you can tie it with ribbons and attach a plaster figure to them. Such packaging definitely cannot be bought in a store!
