This activity brings together the smallest and adult members of the family, making it possible to have an interesting and useful time.

Step 1
Despite the variety of Christmas tree decorations, none of them looks as cute as a handmade one. To create a small copy of the Christmas tree, take a piece of paper and fold it into a cone, glue the edges, and cut the bottom so that it is even. In this case, the cone will resemble a cap in shape. The size of the workpiece depends only on taste preferences, but you should not do too large a craft, otherwise it will look too cumbersome on pine branches.
Step 2
Then cut strips of the same width and length from colored paper, which will act as needles. Fold each strip with a loop and glue the two ends, but do not bend in half. The smaller and shorter the loops, the more interesting the craft will look. The optimal length of the strip is 10 cm, the width is 1 cm. If the strips are too narrow, then it will not be very convenient to glue them. You can use blanks of the same color or alternate several shades. A Christmas tree made of green colored paper looks more traditional, but crafts for the New Year can be more original: a blue or silver spruce looks no less impressive.
Step 3
Secure the ends of the strips with glue. If the colored paper is single-sided, then its bright side should be on the outside. Glue the strips sequentially to each other, starting from the bottom of the cone. The free part of the eyelet will remain at the bottom, and the top of the strip will be overlapped with the next layer of eyelets. The height of the last layer of paper needles is cut to match the size of the cone.
Step 4
Decorate the top of the tree with tinsel or rain, which also sticks. Snowflakes cut from white or colored paper are suitable as decorations. If you plan to use the craft as a Christmas tree toy, then pierce the top of the head with a needle and pull the thread through the hole, tying it with an air loop. The toy is stable enough that you can just put it on.
