After the release of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" and its sequels, one of the most popular costumes at children's parties was the costume of Jack Sparrow, a cheerful and brave pirate. Yes, and at adult costume parties, you can also see a couple of desperate thugs. An indispensable attribute of such a costume is a black eye patch, decorated for intimidation with the image of the "Jolly Roger" - a skull with crossed bones.
It is necessary
- Thick paper,
- Black soft material - velor, velvet,
- Black elastic band or black leather lace
- Glue, thread, scissors
Instructions
Step 1
Measure the width of your pirate's eye socket. On paper, draw a straight line equal to the measured value and add 1 or 2 cm, depending on whether you are dressing a child or an adult. Draw a straight arc from above from a straight arc connecting its ends, stepping back 1-1.5 cm from the middle. Draw a more convex arc at a distance of 3-4 cm from the bottom of the straight line in the same way. Cut a blank out of paper and cut out two exactly the same parts from the fabric along it.
Step 2
Cut the piece of paper in four places - two cuts at the top and bottom. Glue the paper along these grooves, removing 2 mm in each groove to get a convex shape of the bandage, because the eye under it will have to blink freely so that the pirate does not experience any inconvenience.
Step 3
On fabric blanks, make the same cuts and glue them, pressing firmly on the top and bottom surface of the paper blank. When the bandage, pasted over with a cloth, dries, carefully trim it around the edge with scissors so that all three layers are cut evenly and the threads do not stick out.
Step 4
Use a nail scissors to make holes in the dressing and insert a rubber band or leather string into them. Cut out a stylized skull with bones from white paper and glue it to a bandage. Very scary?
