In addition to the impeccably clean sea, 4000 kilometers of coastline, luxurious pine forests and healing springs with mineral water, Croatia is also interesting for its traditions and holidays that are held annually in this country.

Evenings of the fishing tradition are organized in Croatia every summer. They represent three festivals dedicated to the ancient customs of the ancestors. Festive festivities are held in cities such as Rovinj, Vrsar, Funtana, etc. But the main festive events take place all the same in Rovinj.

In the old days, life in Croatian towns was inextricably linked with the sea, which fed the families of fishermen. At dawn they went fishing on boats - "batans", and in the evening they returned home with their catch.

During the evenings of the fishing tradition, Croats always remember the peculiarities of the construction of the "batana" boat. All comers take part in its construction. And during the descent of the batana into the sea, the inhabitants of the whole city gather in the harbor.

Every year the hospitable hosts of the city of Rovinj offer their guests a completely new and exciting program, surprise with interesting musical performances and performances and treat everyone to famous Istrian wines and traditional fish dishes.

Mobile kitchens, tables, picturesquely outstretched fishing nets appear on the city embankment. On the central square of Marshal Tito in Rovinj, a huge stage is erected every year, on which various creative teams perform.

A large screen is set up next to the stage, on which interesting shots from the life of the city flicker throughout the evening. At this time, demonstration performances of skilled rowers on colorful batan boats are held on the sea.

The aroma of fried fish, shrimp, squid and delicious donuts is carried throughout the promenade. Amber beer and the best Istrian white wine flow like a river. And all this - to the melodic tunes about the sea and love, to the pirouettes of seagulls over the sea waves, colored by the rays of the setting sun.
