Victory Day is one of the most revered holidays. Usually, on May 9, a lot of various official events are held, the doors of all museums dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War are open, concerts and film premieres are held, relatives and friends meet at the festive table. How you spend this day depends only on your mood and desire.
Instructions
Step 1
Victory Day can be celebrated traditionally. Gather with friends at a predetermined place and visit a military parade or a solemn meeting, which is held in almost every locality. Despite the fact that this is done every year, perhaps only the military salute and the laying of flowers at the monuments and memorials of the fallen soldiers coincide. But the rest of the scenarios are different. This spectacle is beautiful and charges many with a patriotic mood.
Step 2
Many other spectacular events are held on this day. Find out in advance what to see where. These can be presentations of new films or premieres of performances in the theater, the opening of interesting thematic exhibitions in museums, meetings of lovers of military history, etc. Perhaps one of your friends is taking part in military sports competitions. It will not be superfluous to see how they are doing and "cheer" on their own.
Step 3
If you yourself are interested in the reconstruction of ancient weapons and ammunition, then, as a rule, on this day you can see competitions or imitation of battles, which are held in memory of the war. Find out where such events are held and go there with friends. You can enjoy an interesting show, and then have a small picnic with friends in nature.
Step 4
You can get together somewhere in a quieter place. It is unlikely that on such a wonderful spring day you will want to stay at home. You can worry about an interesting route in advance, which will be thematically connected with the events of the last war. If you live in an area where the fighting took place, read the literature about it and find a suitable map. And then get on a bus or train with your friends and drive to those places where there were once battles. If you're lucky, you may even be able to see or find traces of the past - old overgrown trenches or craters, shell casings and even shell fragments. Surely you will come across the abandoned graves of the dead soldiers. They deserve that on this day at least someone remembered and took care of them. In general, if you put the burial in order, remove the weeds and sprinkle sand on the paths, this will be your personal contribution to the memory of the untimely departed soldiers.
Step 5
In the surrounding villages, there may still be grandmothers or grandfathers who still remember the war and were its participants. If you unexpectedly visit them, congratulate them, listen to their memories (or maybe help them in something), then they will be happy, and you will not forget either this day or your noble deed. No matter how you decide to celebrate this day, the main thing is to remember for what you are going and what event you are celebrating.
