The main autumn holiday is very soon, and you still haven't bought a pumpkin to make Jack's lantern out of it. How to be? After all, without the characteristic toothy pumpkin, Halloween loses half of its charm. Fortunately, a decent replacement can be found.
It is necessary
- - ready-made candlestick
- - holiday candles in the shape of a pumpkin
- - seasonal fruits or vegetables
- - handy kitchen knife or special devices for carving
- - transparent jar up to 500 ml
- - thick paper
- - nail scissors or paper cutter
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a ready-made pumpkin-shaped candlestick. Halloween themed decorations are sold in stores with paraphernalia for the holidays and parties. If you're lucky, you will have time to buy a candlestick or even pumpkin-shaped candles. The most affordable options are sold at Fixprice nationwide.
Step 2
Use a different vegetable or fruit. Apples and citrus fruits make good Halloween candlesticks. Cut or paint Jack's ominous grin on them to create a dark fall holiday atmosphere. The most creative Halloween buffs cut eggplants, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers and even watermelons, although finding a watermelon in late fall is much more difficult than a pumpkin.
Step 3
No pumpkin - draw it. Take a small jar, for example, half a liter. Wash it properly: it will be your candlestick. Measure out enough heavy paper: the width should be the same as the circumference of the can, and the length should be the same as the height of the can. Draw pumpkin lanterns, abandoned castles or a gloomy cemetery - whatever your imagination and skill allows. If you don't know how to draw, you can use works from the Internet. The hardest part of the job is to carefully cut out the areas that should be glowing. Secure the sheet inside the jar so that it adheres to the walls and does not go into the fire. Place a candle on the bottom and light it. Halloween lantern is ready.
