There is nothing easier than making a natural flavoring with regular salt. It is also the easiest, fastest, cheapest and most original gift.
It is necessary
- • 2 cups coarse kosher salt
- • fresh herbs such as rosemary, sage and thyme
- • 4 sprigs of fresh lavender
- • 1 lime
- • 1 lemon
- • 1 dried chili
- • parchment
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Place the herbs and lavender on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let dry in the oven for 30-45 minutes.
Step 2
Chop up lavender and herbs. You can use pre-dried spices, but they are not as tasty. Dried herbs lose their aroma.
Step 3
Cut out the citrus zest, about a teaspoon of zest for each tank.
Step 4
Chop up dried chili.
Step 5
Take four glass containers. Add 1/2 cup salt to each tank. In one container, add 2 teaspoons of chopped chili peppers, in another - 2 teaspoons of herbs, in the third - 2 teaspoons of zest, in the fourth - 2 teaspoons of chopped lavender.
Step 6
Stir well before adding to storage containers. Dry for three days.
Step 7
Add to storage container, making sure the spices are evenly distributed in the salt.
