Kazantip is a cape washed by the gentle waves of the Azov Sea in the northeastern part of Crimea. Its territory is known as an oil and gas field, adventure films are shot on Kazantip, and it also became the birthplace of a music festival of the same name.
Several centuries ago, the Crimean Tatars christened the cape with a strange name "Bottom of the Cauldron" - this is what translated from Turkic means the word "Kazantip". The name reflects the reality: the cape is a small area, rising just over a hundred meters above sea level. But here is rich nature and mild climate - the swimming season begins a month earlier than on the rest of the Crimean coast. Since the beginning of the 90s of the last century, and then taken up by the wave of the then fashionable "rave", Cape Kazantip has become an unspoken republic of electronic music, dance and love. Every year, a music festival of the same name was held on its territory, which is gaining momentum every year. In 2000, the festival moved to the outskirts of Sudak, and since 2001 has firmly established itself in the village of Popovka. Around the same time, the name began to be written through Z - "KaZantip". More than ten years have passed since then, and KaZantip has ceased to be an exclusively musical phenomenon. In the minds of vacationers, the word "republic" has replaced the word "festival". Although, from July to August, DJs from neighboring countries and European countries still come there. During the festival, music sounds non-stop from different venues, and parties do not stop. In addition, the futuristic Marsal (Mars) with avant-garde buildings, structures and inhabitants is located on the territory of Kazantip. During its almost twenty-year history, KaZantip has been visited by guests from several dozen countries. A lot of sports events are held on its territory, such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, cycling and dozens of others. It is not customary here to hide behind the armor of one's own complexes and dull stereotypes. This is stated by the Constitution and other codes of the republic, published on the website of KaZantip. To become a resident of the Republic of KaZantip, you need a special document (in the language of "aborigines" - viZa). You can apply for a visa online, that is, register on the Internet and pay a certain monetary contribution, or do it directly on the territory of the republic. To get there for free, you need to have with you KaZantip's permanent business card - a yellow suitcase with chrome corners and interesting design.
