Step 1

Find the materials you need. Thick white paper works well for the base, but you can use colored paper as well. The format can be any, not just the standard A5. For decoration, use what you have at home - decorative ribbons for gifts, dried flowers and leaves, sparkles, pieces of fabric.

If you are going to make an opening postcard, carefully fold the piece of paper in half. If it is very dense, you can carefully cut it with a clerical knife from the outside of the fold.

Start decorating the card from the inside or back. You can glue the edges of the paper with a thin decorative tape or make beautiful "corners" of foil or colored paper. Write a congratulatory lettering with a pen or felt-tip pen. Date and sign so that the person you give it to can remember the year and the author.
Step 5
Decorate the outside of the card. For starters, you can make a beautiful inscription "Happy New Year!" in the center or in one of the corners. Next, connect your imagination. If you can draw well, then draw a plot corresponding to the New Year on paper. A postcard decorated with dried flowers also looks good. You can decorate the card with sparkles if you grease a piece of paper with glue and sprinkle it with them.
Step 6
An original gift can be a postcard with embroidery. To do this, come up with a New Year's story, for example, a spruce branch with a cone. Find or draw the appropriate diagram in the appropriate postcard format. Then embroider the storyline on a small piece of fabric and glue it to the front of the postcard. Apply thin tape around the edges of the canvas to hide the edge of the fabric.
