On September 2, the city of Moscow celebrates its 865th anniversary. On this significant day, September 1 and 2, about 3,000 festive events will be held in the capital. The anniversary of Moscow will be celebrated in every corner of it.
For the City Day, a Russian artist came up with a logo for this holiday, which says "The best city on Earth." The ceremony will begin with the laying of flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and other memorials in the city. The main action will take place on Red Square. In the ceremony of the holiday called “Moscow - the city of love. The Age of Dance”famous dancers will participate. This spectacle can only be seen by guests of honor, whose number is 7000 people. The rest of Moscow residents and everyone who wants to can enjoy the concert on television.
On Poklonnaya Hill, festive events will be held dedicated not only to the City Day, but also to the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino. There will be a music media festival. Sakharov Avenue will be especially lively, because the processions of the country's street theaters, children's parties will take place here, and in the evening films will be shown in the open air.
Popular festivities will take place on Pushkinskaya and Teatralnaya squares. On September 1, participants in the Spasskaya Tower Military Band Festival will march along Tverskaya Street. On September 2, the music of the orchestras will sound in all parks and squares of the city. Tsvetnoy Boulevard will be the venue for the festival of circus art.
