Lay down the tablecloth. According to the rules of etiquette, it should hang from the table by at least 25 cm, and not lower than the seats of the chairs. Step 2
Coasters are placed under the plates and cutlery intended for one person. They are different in shape, color and materials - straw, linen, plastic.

Decorate each guest place with cute little things: bouquets of flowers or herbs, small shells, candles. You can roll each guest's napkin into a cylinder and place it in a special ring. Special cards for guests, on which their names and menus are written, look very elegant and beautiful.

Place a wide, shallow dish in the center of the table. Put fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs in it. In order to get picturesque, take gifts of nature, different in shape and color. Another option for decorating the middle of the table is a low wicker basket or a crystal vase, which also needs to be filled with something: nuts, fruits. In the center of the table you can also put pots of flowers, a dish with spruce branches (on New Year's holidays), small pumpkins in a wicker vase. The main thing is that the center does not turn out to be high, and the guests see each other.

Now start serving. Place a large plate for each guest. Place cutlery next to it: forks to the left of the plate, knives with a sharp edge to the plate, to the right, spoons to the right of the knives. A lot of devices are usually laid out for gala receptions. They should lie in the order in which the dishes will be served. Place a plate for pastries and bread over the forks. Place the salad dishes to the left of the forks. Glasses are placed over the knives, closer to the plate - for water, then - for wine.
