Preparing for a holiday is an exciting and interesting process that brings joy and pleasure from the anticipation of a fun event. In addition to decorating a room, planning entertainment and drawing up a holiday program, it is necessary to think over a menu that is significantly different from the everyday table. On such a day, I would like to try especially delicious, unusual and beautiful dishes. But when planning a festive table, you need to remember about the tastes of the guests, about the combination of dishes with each other and the budget.

Step 1
Each well-prepared holiday table should have one main, signature dish. Usually this is a second course of meat: for example, chops in sauce or kebabs. But you can experiment and serve an unusual and tasty soup as the main decoration of the table. Think about what dish your festive table cannot do without. It is advisable that this was a recipe that has already been tried out many times, otherwise it may not meet your expectations.
Step 2
Consider appetizers and salads to suit your chosen main course. Ideally serve cold cuts, vegetables and cheese. If the traditional rules for serving snacks are boring, prepare cheese and meat canapes with vegetables, or make meat rolls with multiple fillings. Cold appetizers also include pickles: sauerkraut, pickles and tomatoes. But not everyone dares to put them on the festive table: firstly, they do not always look attractive, and secondly, they have a strong smell, interrupting the aroma of other dishes. Therefore, it is advisable to set them when the second is served.

Salads in the Russian feast occupy a special place: everyone's favorite Olivier, herring under a fur coat or salad with crabs have become an integral part of the festive table. But if you are tired of them and you are ready to experiment, try other recipes. Salads with boiled tongue or chicken are very tasty, there are also many vegetable salads. Remember to make them with no more than five ingredients. Pay special attention to dressings and sauces: traditional mayonnaise has already begun to fade into the background, it can be replaced with more healthy sauces made from olive oil or sour cream with spices, for example. Be sure to prepare at least one light salad without the greasy dressing, as some guests may be dieting.

Hot snacks also occupy an important place on the table. You can cook fried chicken or baked fish, cut into portions. Their portions should be small so that there is room for the main dish with a side dish.

The festive menu ends with a dessert. The safest option - cake, homemade cakes - is loved by almost everyone. For weight-conscious guests, prepare a fruit salad or sherbet. You can end the meal with cold sweet cocktails.

A good festive table is characterized not by a huge number of dishes and snacks, but by their correct selection and decoration. Do not make the same type of meals (for example, two poultry dishes or cold and hot fish snacks).
