Step 1
First, we need to cut the heart shape out of the floral foam. For fresh flowers, you need to choose green foam, because it is she who absorbs liquid very well. Flowers will be able to stand in it for as long as possible.
Step 2
Immerse the sponge in water for 20-30 seconds, no more, otherwise it will get very wet. Next, apply the foam to a napkin to drain the excess water.
Step 3
Cut the stems of the roses with pruning shears, leaving small legs, literally 5-7 centimeters in size. The legs must be left for further insertion into the sponge. At the same time, the leaves can also be left for subsequent heart decoration.
Step 4
Spread the roses over the surface of the sponge, alternately inserting the stems into the foam at a distance of 1-2 centimeters from each other. Remember - roses should fit snugly to each other, leaving no gaps between them.
Step 5
Cut the remaining leaves on the stems one by one and use as a side edging. To keep the leaves, you can fix them together with decorative needles.
Step 6
Complement the bouquet with fruit, making one half of the heart from roses, the other from fruit. For example, strawberries are perfect for these purposes. Place it on toothpicks and insert it into the sponge one by one. Sweets, for example, truffles, can serve as an equally wonderful decoration. If you wish, you can combine them with fruits previously placed around the perimeter of the bouquet. The main thing is to follow the style of the bouquet and not overdo it with decorations.
Step 7
The remaining cut stems of roses can also be used for decoration. Cut them into sticks of 5 centimeters each, tie them with pre-prepared red ribbons 2-3 pieces each, and then fix them on the needles on the side along the entire perimeter of the heart. The composition is ready! Do not forget to attach a love note or a greeting card to your heart.
