  8. fish and seafood are also generally acceptable.

When putting together your basket for Easter 2019, keep in mind that portions of food should be small. You need to take as much food as possible to eat at the festive table, meeting a bright holiday. It is strictly forbidden to throw away consecrated products, if there are surpluses, it is better to distribute them to those in need, leave them in a church or temple.

What cannot be consecrated at Easter

First, you need to understand that it is unacceptable to bring any material objects to the consecration on Easter. Whether it's icons, a cake knife, money, keys, jewelry and personal belongings - all of this is not worth filling the Easter basket with.

It is necessary to give up the food that was freely consumed during the time of Great Lent.

Alcoholic drinks should not be brought to church and sanctified on Easter, the only exception is the aforementioned wine. Even homemade liqueurs are prohibited.
