Since 1993, the Pepsi Island music festival has been held in Hungary at the beginning of August. On the Danube River, in the Obuda region, lies the Magit Island. It is there that young people from all over Europe gather to listen to their favorite music and communicate with like-minded people from other countries. Every year there are more and more participants and spectators. Venerable bands and performers arrive, gathering crowds of fans. Beginning musicians share the audience's attention with them, hoping to reach the same heights of fame. Representatives of each musical direction are allocated a separate performance area.
The sponsor of the festival is the Pepsi-cola company. This musical get-together has become a well-organized profitable event. Spectators and participants can live in hotels in Budapest or settle right on the island. A well-equipped area is allocated for the camping, where those who wish, having bought a ticket, can live all week. The camping is equipped with dry closets, drinking water and a shower. Numerous pavilions sell national cuisine and souvenirs.
The event has become so popular that the organizers have to limit the number of participants. The capacity of the island is 60,000 people. Thus, it is expected to sell 25,000 tickets for permanent residence on the island and 35,000 tickets for daily visits. Therefore, it makes sense to order tickets on the festival website in advance.

From Moscow, trains leave for Budapest every day, from St. Petersburg - once a week. However, the fare does not differ much from the cost of air travel. To minimize costs, you can drive to the border town of Chop in the Transcarpathian region, and then change to a train to the Hungarian town of Zahony. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Border control is carried out at the station before boarding the train. Trains leave Zachony for Budapest several times a day. Travel time is 5 hours. The ticket costs will be approximately 70 euros.
