They prepare for the New Year in advance: some go shopping in search of original gifts and holiday decorations, while others create them with their own hands. A wreath of silver cones is a simple but effective New Year's craft that can be perfect for a gift or for home decoration.
- cones;
- spray paint;
- cardboard;
- lace;
- spruce or pine branches;
- glue;
- scissors.
Before you start creating, you need to pick up the cones for the craft. They should be about the same size, whole and of course clean. The cones are selected, we proceed to coloring. It will be most convenient to make the buds of the desired color with a spray can. Different colors are suitable for a wreath, but silver, white, gold will look best. Let the buds dry well.
1. Take thick cardboard and cut out a circle 20 cm in diameter - this is the base of the wreath. The circle can be painted as the edges are visible between the decoration. If the cardboard is not too dense, several layers must be glued together for rigidity.
2. On a cardboard base, glue the cones along the edge of the circle, pressing them tightly enough to each other. It is better to coat both the base and the sides of the cones with glue.
3. The center of the resulting wreath is decorated with sprigs of pine or spruce. We cut off beautiful, fluffy twigs by 15 cm, place them in the center and between the cones.
4. Decorate spruce branches with small, silver, pine cones. Place a composition of seven, five or three cones in the center. We attach a lace on the back of the wreath.
Helpful hint: you don't need to glue the spruce branches, they can be inserted between the cones. It is permissible to decorate the center of the wreath with small balls, snowflakes, tinsel or figurines of the symbol of the year.
