Winter sometimes pleases with sunny fine days. It's good if these days fall on New Year's holidays or weekends. Instead of sitting at home watching TV, you can have fun in nature. There would be a desire, but there are enough options to spend the day.

1. Skating or skiing. Such active rest has already become traditional. If you still haven't mastered skating, it's time to learn. The choice of skates should be treated like the choice of winter shoes - try on skates on a woolen sock. While trying on, move your legs while standing - the foot should not walk back and forth in the boot. The allowable space between the big toe and the toe of the boot must not exceed 1 cm.

Do not rush to go out on the ice right away. Skate at home or outside on trampled snow. Let someone close to you insure you, holding your hands in front at arm's length. Try to sit down, raise your legs alternately, bend to the right and left. Let the spotter release you for a few seconds in each position.

Once you learn how to balance without support, start learning to fall. In order to avoid injuries at the initial stage of training, stock up on protection - in the sales department of roller skates, purchase knee pads, elbow pads, wristbands, etc. Keep in mind that you will be wearing all this on winter clothes - a jacket and insulated pants, so select the appropriate size of the fastening belts.

When you feel that you are going to fall, do not put your arms or legs forward as support - you can get a dislocation or fracture. It is necessary to fall, squatting and at the same time slightly bending to the side. Legs should always be slightly bent at the knees while skating.

When choosing the length of the skis, be guided by your height plus the distance from the elbow to the fingertips. Ski poles in the classic version should reach your arm bent at the elbow (or to the upper part of the sternum, if you choose skis for running). Pay attention to the notches on the soles of the skis - for classic walking, the notches should be transverse, and for the skating style - oblique.

Skiing training can be started in the forest, where the ski track has already been trodden. If you are going to ride with the whole family, you should not go close to each other. To avoid injury from the tip of the ski poles, the distance between those walking on the track must be at least one meter.

Downhill or hill descent can be dangerous for skiing. It is important to remember that during the descent, the legs should be bent at the knees, the body is slightly inclined forward, and the sticks are directed backward and pressed with the elbows to the body.

2. A holiday for everyone. Mass festivities are considered no less active rest. Discover the talent of an organizer and philanthropist - arrange, for example, a New Year's party for the kids in your yard.

Gather a group of like-minded people, rent costumes and musical equipment. Write a script for a holiday, assigning roles, or search for ready-made scripts on the Internet.

Print and post colorful announcements in advance at the entrance: on such and such a day, at so many hours, there will be a holiday, admission is free. You can persuade all willing parents to chip in financially and buy the same small gifts or sweets for the kids.

3. Photo session or filming. Costumes and New Year's attributes can come in handy for a fun photo shoot or video shooting in the forest. You can play a whole fairy tale on the camera with dressing up. And for a great photo shoot, stock up on Christmas decorations, tinsel and massive letters made of colored cardboard.

If the snow is sticky, you can try to sculpt something like a throne for a photo shoot in the style of the Snow Queen, for example. To keep the creation for a long time, gently pour it with water from a bottle while sculpting.

As a joke, you can make a collage. Have you ever seen how the thoughts or words of characters in comics are drawn? Draw a similar circle on a white Whatman paper with a triangle at the bottom and write something fun on it in block letters. Take pictures with "thoughts" in hand and make an appropriate facial expression or pose.
