The most magical and colorful holiday is getting closer and closer. The interiors of houses, apartments and offices are being transformed, and shop windows are filled with bright decor. Candles and New Year's candlesticks are undoubtedly one of the most important attributes of the New Year's interior. Without them, it is unlikely that you will be able to create a festive mood. Of course, you can solve the issue simply - buy a candlestick or candles you like. But it's much more enjoyable to do something yourself. It's very easy. Especially if you or your friends love beer or lemonade in glass bottles, as in order to make a candlestick with your own hands, you will need beer lids.
First option
For one candlestick you will need about 12-15 lids and thick wire.
1. All caps will need to be drilled in the middle. Can be pierced with a nail with a hammer.
2. Wipe the convex side of the lids with alcohol for cleaning, paint in different colors. Acrylic paints are best suited for this.
3. Now you need to take a thicker wire (three pieces for each candlestick). Choose the length yourself, as you like, but keep in mind that these wires should make a stand and a base for the candlestick. That is, the lower part of the 3 wires must be bent figuredly, and the covers must be strung on the upper part. Turn the last cap over and fix it by bending and cutting two of the three wires, string a candle on the third, placing it in the top cap. Everything! It turned out to be an original and beautiful decoration for the New Year's interior.
Second option
Each lid will make one New Year's candle with a candlestick. Hence, the number of caps depends on your desire. In addition, you will need a wick and paraffin (wax), which can be taken from old candles.
This option is even simpler than the first. You just need to melt the paraffin (wax), pour it into the beer lids, put the wick there and let it harden. The creative element of the New Year's design is ready!
